I am not talking about ribs, BBQ, etc.

I mean some real oddball stuff like hog jowls, Sow Belly 'n' Hand Slung
Chitlins, Gizzards Smothered in Gristle, etc.

Guy wants to impress his date.

Take her to the poor, mostly black section of town.
Good ol' soul food invented by the old slaves that only
got scraps to eat. Over the years, they turned those
scraps in to very good food.

Latino, not just black. This is the southwest. Slaves have done stuff like that since before the dawn of man.

All the black-owned restaurants in the black parts of town have been
vandalized, robbed, and burned down.

Because.... you know - Black Restaurants Matter n'all (to White
people).
