She knew your question didn't deserve an answer as she was concerned about the safety of her child. Just because she didn't answer you does not make you right; it made her son safe from your crazy grasp. She wanted to give him a chance of a normal life which you couldn't provide. She was more concerned with giving him a stable home which he would not have had if he'd stayed around you. |

I generally split the hen in half and grill or broil it. Brushed with a combo of butter, neutral oil, garlic and herb seasoning, cooked until the skin is nice and crispy. It's quite nice. Or if you'd like something a little spicy, lightly coated in flour seasoned with salt and a bit of cayenne pepper. The only time I cook the whole little hen is at Thanksgiving. With cornbread dressing on the side. That's a long way off. No reason I can't cook a cornish game hen in the meantime. ![]() Jill |

I agree with you, John. Not so easy to move just because someone else does. When I had first moved to Virginia Beach, had a girlfriend for a few years and she wanted me to move to Arizona with her. Screw that, I was so happy finally living by the ocean again. No damn way did I want to move to the desert Arizona. I did miss her for awhile but not enough to move there. Then about a year after I got divorced, I had an opportunity to move far away. Sounded nice to me....maybe. I wasn't sure. But I did run it by my ex first to see how she felt about it. The child was ours together and I didn't want to deny her weekly or whenever visits by moving so far away. So I asked how she would feel and she was ok with it, if that's what I wanted to do. That gave me 100% freedom to decide without guilt. I ended up staying. Maybe the ex didn't mind but eventually maybe our daughter might. Better for her to stay, imo. And better for me to remain by THE OCEAN. Living right next to a vast wilderness. That's why I moved here in the first place. In hindsight, I made the right choice. |

Here they are largely frozen so cooking 1/2 at a time means defrosting it. I remain leery of re-freezing defrosted meats even if done safely in the fridge. |

My wife and son and I are fine with one 20oz. hen. With mashed potatoes, gravy and a vegetable, it's the perfect amount. --Bryan |
