Supper tonight was quinoa with black beans, cilantro, feta and chili
powder. It was pretty good. The recipe said that it made 6 servings. We
used a little more than half of it for two servings. The leftovers will
be tomorrow's lunch.

Not sure what a corn dog is but I had a corn on the cob, given to
me by a friend who bought them at a farm stand. Totally delicious, I
had half a NY steak left from the day before and added that, plus some
cherry tomatoes.

It was a peaches and cream cob, never seen such a huge one. Although I
dislike fall leading into winter, it is the time when veggies rule

For years after we came here I made all our jam when the kids were
little because we all found NA jams way too sweet for our tastes. I
rarely use it now, except in the trifle for Christmas and when I do I
choose Smuckers - it is the nicest of the commercial jams.

Look for them in the frozen food section.
A hotdog, dipped in thick cornbread batter
then deep fried.

Done right they're pretty tasty.

Do you even have the capacity to say "sounds good" without

peppers.

Not mystery meat as long as you use fresh ground RO meat.

So what? It's all simple sugar.
If it's sweeter, you use a bit less.
You're a wierdo.

Twice a year ain't gonna hurt anyway. I think I am basically very
healthy, far from needing less salt, I need more to keep my blood
pressure up lol

It's the old golden rule, 'A little of everything and not too much of
anything'

They both have corn in the name. A corn dog is breaded, deep fried hot dog.

My grandparents owned a Tourist Home, now called a B&B, in upstate NY,
Woodridge. They had a big back yard and my grandmother maintained a
huge vegetable garden and she had lots of fruit trees, mainly various
kinds of plums. She made the best plum jam, often of mixed varieties
but my favorite was Green Gage Plum jam. I planted two green gage
plum trees here but unfortunately they got Black Knot Disease, no
cure. I was told it lives in the soil around here, so I don't plant
plum trees. I never see any Green Gage Plums in the stores here
either. The plums I do see (red/purple) arrive in crates that say
California.

At a teaspoon or two every few months, I just don't give a damn.

I did, but it didn't help. And I wasn't about to buy and plant new
trees that would only die a slow painful death. About the only way to
get rid of certain plant diseases is a hot forest fire.
