Default Planned for meals this week

I have ground beef, chicken thighs and a petite sirloin steak thawing
in the fridge.
The ground beef is for tonight for stuffed green peppers. I have a
couple of huge peppers waiting.
Tomorrow night will be a BBQ chicken thighs ..Marinate first in a
mixture of BBQ sauce and cola. Drain, grill and then baste with
reserved sauce.
Final night will be fajitas with the thinly sliced steak. Marinated
first in a fajita marinade then quickly stir fried in a very hot pan,
Stir fry thin slices of onion and pepper after the meat.
The week looks promising food wise.

Wow! You are really on the ball with your meal planning for this week.
I'm still mulling over what tonight's dinner will be.

I have to do it while I can. These are all simple meals or otherwise
I wouldn't be cooking anything at all. Many days I just don't want to
cook anymore. Anyway the meat will thaw in the order of the meals
planned and I will be forced to cook them.
That's my plan anyway.

I'm going to use up the last of the tortillas and beans for more bean
burritos. Have some leftover Spaghetti Parm., but not a lot. might be a
snack. Will make bean/corn chili. That might last me the rest of the week.

I'm getting to that point too. Also don't care what I eat, so long as it's
not junk.

In that case, he either feeds himself a sandwich or neither one of us
eats dinner or we order in something. If we are lucky there are
leftovers..

When I used to cook for 2, I would always cook enough for 4.
Now that I'm alone, I still cook for 4. I like leftovers.
Takes very little effort to cook a bit more.

I almost always double and triple the amount. We like LOs, often
tastes better the next day, especially stews/soups. Also a lot less
labor cooking once and eating three times, and most LOs are
freezeable. And buying in the family packs offers great savings...
yesterday meats in family packs were BOGO, got two packs of very nice
center cut pork loin chops, Eight to a pack so got 16 lovely pork
chops. I froze them four to a zip-loc and a couple two to a
zip-loc... we're typically satisfied with one each. We eat them by
cutting the meat from the bones with a steak knife... the bones go
back into the freezer and when there's a bagful I braise them in a pot
of crushed tomatoes for a rich ****gett sauce. Sometimes shoulder
chops are on sale, I brown them all and braise them in a pot of
crushed tomatoes until falling of the bone and skim the fat, excellent
****gett sauce, better than any Italian nana's. I've tried some
jarred sauce, all disgusting.

I agree. I've tried many varities of jarred spaghetti sauce.
Every single one is a fail to just add it plain to pasta and
call it a meal.

Many can be used as a starting point though and then enhanced
to a decent sauce. Adding meat is usually required.

In real life though, once you end up enhancing it, you
probably could have just started with plain tomato sauce.

Back in the day I used to love to cook, and usually made something new
every day, but ....

I don't have the energy these days!

Doesn't require much energy to clamp your vagina onto a long thick
hard penis... just gotta lay there with your legs splayed wide and let
what's his name do all the work. Won't be long before you become a
lassie cannoli. LOL-LOL

You should try cooking for 8. You'd have food for 16 days.

Yep Popeye, like when yoose ****ed yoose aunt ... and yoose
mother-in-law after yoose wife didn't want no more. LOL.

It's OK, we know it's just a cover for your homosexual activity.

I have known several gays, both sexes, but never as crazy as yoose
Popeye.

Wasnt it Barb Schaller who said, €śThe best meals Ive ever ate were
cooked by someone else€ť? She may have quoted from someone else, but its
the truth.
Im late to the thread on 9/3 and I bought a couple of beef filets, some
boneless pork €śribs€ť and some Coleman premium pork chops for the first
time ever. Old teeth prefer tender meat. Well see if that's what premium
means.

When I cook a traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner
I often cook for 12 or more. That's weather dependent
though. Needs to be a cold holiday with high temp
under 50F. Under 40F is even better.

Doesn't matter if I have people coming. Just with me only
I'll cook the full works:
18-20 lb turkey with lots of stuffing
fill the bird and more cooked in a casserole dish
Mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce.
Sometimes a sweet potato pie.

I can eat leftovers for a few days and love it.
The rest goes into the freezer for future meals.
Many good turkey meat recipes too plus carcass is
for good rich turkey stock (better than chicken stock)

That's when I cook very large and none of it goes to waste.

I just pulled two roasted chickens out of the oven. No point heating
the oven for just one. The carcasses will become stock.

I prefer to cook smaller turkeys more frequently (12-14 pounds). With
bigger turkeys it's more challenging to get the dark meat done without
immolating the white meat.

We never bother with all those side dishes. Just the essentials:
turkey, dressing, gravy.

Sounds like you had a great meal lineup. I'm usually more of a 'what
do I feel like eating today' kind of person. That's when I take things
out of the freezer for that day. I do hope you enjoyed those meals.
