I knew who I was responding to. Jill was giving excuses like
Julie so I called her Julie. She really is "Julie 2." Two
princesses that don't like much of anything.

Jill's list of things she doesn't like is equal to or even
surpasses Julie's dislikes. It's funny if you take the time
to notice.

I like "dry humor" but it seems only Ed is the one that can

Since the advent of the microwave I see no point to the toaster
oven... and fact is toaster ovens are the small appliance most
responsible for house fires.
I cook saw-seege often, at least twice a month and always in my 12"
Farberware pan. I put them up early in the day, ~11AM, and by dinner
time, 6 PM they are perfectly cooked. I use the lowest setting on my
stove's smallest burner. Every time I think about it I turn them. My
cooking philosophy is to cook with the lowest heat, time be damned.
Everything is perfectly cooked, juicy, and no burnt pans. I have no
idea why people got into cooking with the highest heat possible, all I
can think is that everyone is in a big hurry, everyone has become used
to fast food dreck, and instant gratification from drive thru take
outs. I never hear that familys sit down together for liesurely meals
any more... what a fercocktah world.

Gary, I don't like Jill, and she doesn't like me, but to put her into a category with a nutcase like Julie just isn't accurate. I'm calling balls and strikes here. Jill tells the truth as she sees it. Julie embellishes.

Thank you, JanetB. Gary seems determined to try to turn my posts
into complaints, brings up Julie and accusing me of something.

I've baked the bratwurst in the oven on foil.

There is simply no point (IMHO) in cooking on a charcoal grill when it
is either pouring down rain outside or windy. I have a kitchen for a
reason. Different types of pans and methods of cooking for a reason.

GTMA. I'd already planned that. I did mention when I first posted
there are always other cooking options. I don't know why some folks
want to question my methods of cooking. If I don't want to cook outside
in windy or rainy conditions I don't have to. It's better that I don't.

Silly suggestions that I should do some grilling in bad weather and keep
bringing up Julie. That would be GARY.

I use my vintage 1989 toaster oven mainly for nachos, toasted
cheese sandwiches, and a couple other (mainly cheese melting)
tasks.

Are they browned at all?

I have this place I go every weekday between 8 am and 5 pm. When I
get home I want to get dinner on the table in less than 7 hours.

I rarely cook on the highest heat possible, but when I want to brown
something I crank that mother up.

Again I'll say... I only pick on you because you bully
a couple of others here constantly. Just giving you back
a dose of your own medicine.

We can both turn nice. You first.

OK...let's speculate and gossip like she does.

I suspect she still has to buy the 1K worth of food
from the club each year. That was a neighborhood
requirement. Is she special to get out of that?

I suspect she still has to do it but said she got
out of that so people here would quit talking
about it.

Oh...hi Jill!

As if you're such a saint, Gary. I don't bully anybody. Usenet isn't
kindergarten. I post my opinions in replies to what other people post.
RFC is the Chaotic Kitchen, Gary. No one needs you to be their
champion/defender. You seem to see yourself as some sort of
self-appointed moderator. You replied to my post as if you thought
that's what Julie would say just to stir up shit. You're an Instigator.

They're fine in the oven. The thing about a toaster oven is that you don't heat up your house as much.
