Using this method seems simple enough. I'm going to try it.

I like. But it begs the question: Which gourmet restaurants offer the best sauces? In the best plastic?

:-)

Way OT, but since Ed is talking packets, I discovered this product today:

https://disposerx.com/

Samples were available free at my local pharmacy. Since a number of you olde phartes undoubtedly take a number of prescription drugs and a few of you might actually think about how to dispose of old drugs responsibly, I'm posting about it.

I'm surprised you grabbed all those packets of mild sauce.
(and even bought a bottle of the same)
I thought you liked more heat.

The mild sauce sucks. So do the medium, and the hottest one (Diablo).
Fire sauce is great.

If you like chipotle, but for jarred/canned the Del Primo hot sauces come closest
to what you'd get at a taqueria. Interestingly, my stash of Del Primo was ordered
from HEB when they had a free shipping offer for $50+ orders. HEB is one of the
better supermarkets in the USA.

I agree 100%! Back when I whitewater kayaked a lot and we'd stop at Taco Hell, I get 4 or 5 Fire Sauces for each taco!

I bought a few when they first appeared but wasn't too wild about
them. The San Marcos chipotle has been my all time fave. I had to
buy La Costena last time, it's about 80% as good.
