I didn't look at the links, but oven cleaner is typically lye based. I use lye to clean
my bathtub because (I assume) it is the original 1925 porcelain bathtub, and
over the decades it has been scrubbed with abraisive cleansers. I buy pure
sodium hydroxide, and know how to use it safely.

You're cabinets look very nice, you did a good job. I don't know if that stuff
you are using has much in the way of fumes, but of course, you do know to
open doors and/or windows.

I buy the Easy Off Fume Free stuff, which still has fumes but not nearly as bad!

No, that's toluene, I did that for a short time as a teen. Krylon Kristal Klear lists only "toluene" as a solvent so that was my brand!

Why not use it on all the schmutz above he stove? It's growing hair
up there.

You have the same kitchen cabinet faces I have. They're 35 years
old. But I still most of teh rubber grommets that keep the doors
slamming shut.

Perhaps if you cleaned your bathtub more often you wouldn't need
lye... we clean our tub with a Loofa on a stick and a small bit of
dishwashing liquid (Dawn) after each use and it stays sparkling... the
walls are fiberglass and cover the walls and the ceiling. And we only
use it for showers... the shower head (Delta) pulls out on a hose for
rinsing.
This is the best shower head we've ever used:

Probably the best thing to get grease off that area above the stove would be
a 50/50 mixture of Windex and non-sudsy ammonia. I say 50/50 to slightly
cut down on the ammonia fumes but it will still melt any accumulative grease.

Those little self-sticking 'dots' can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's.

Windex is still a decent product, but decades ago they removed a key ingredient.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-Butoxyethanol
2-Butoxyethanol is an irritant, but it was never really hazardous in the
concentration in Windex. For several years, the commercial formulation of
Windex still had it. Years later, they added 2-Hexoxyethanol, which doesn't seem
to be as effective, and doesn't smell as nice. Ammonia is a far worse irritant,
and one should wear gloves and only use it indoors with adequate ventillation,
which means probably not in months where the house is shut up for heating or
cooling.

Yeah, I am a cleaning nerd. I worked in housekeeping as a supervisor from the
time I was 18, then as a lowly building custodian for 20 years. Another handy
substance that is very low toxicity is D-Limonene. It's a bit pricey, but it smells
decent. I keep it around, and used it a few hours ago to get the sticker adhesive
off of a cookie tin. Another useful compound is sodium tripolyphosphate. I
have both food grade to add in tiny amounts to brining solution for chicken,
and cheaper non-food grade for degreasing.

I had to replace several of my cabinet dots/bumpers a few months ago. They
were smashed and would cause doors to stick. Scraping those off and putting
new ones on solved having to jerk open sticking doors.

They work quite well for the back of hanging picture frames that scrape the paint
off walls, too. One in each bottom corner will do the trick.

These clear dots/bumpers are smaller than a dime.
