Default Ginger cookies

I baked some ginger cookies today using the recipe linked below. They
were incredible.
I learned not to turn my new stand mixer to the highest speed until the
dry ingredients have been mixed into the wet. Wow... flour everywhere.

Is it true that ginger makes one fart less? We add it to
chili sometimes because I heard someplace that it reduces
the farts.

Is that really true?

Sounds good, I'd bake them on parchment. OTOH, I always bake cookies on parchment.

If you have added it to chili, you tell us.

Does ginger really reduce gas?

I have had insulated baking sheets. The parchment paper is easier because there's no greasing involved and the cookies just slide off with reduced scorching.

That sounds like a really good recipe! I love gingerbread and ginger
cookies. Mostly buy store-bought gingersnaps but a soft ginger cookie
would be good.

I've never used a stand mixer to make cookie dough but hey, it stands to
reason, don't turn on the mixer (at any speed!) when there are only dryi
ingredients in the bowl. Stir them together before you put the bowl
under the mixer then introduce the wet ingredients and start off on LOW.
I've watched enough cooking shows to know that.

I have made a few batches of ginger cookies lately. These were the best
ever. My oven us pretty consistent and when it gives a short range of
time I find that by stuff is done right in the middle, but with this
recipe I went for the longer time and got perfection.

I had started off at low speed and cranked it up a little too high and
too fast. I will try to remember not to do that again.

I've become quite the fan of ginger, but you forgot to include the link.

Parchment is good, and those baking sheets that have two layers
are good too. Burned bottoms on cookies are a drag.

The way to reduce farts is to take Beano (or the generic equivalent)
capsules. The human body doesn't produce the enzymes to break down
the oligosacharides in beans into absorbable sugars, which should occur
in the small intestine. Ideally, digestion should occur in the small
intestine. When undigested carbohydrates enter the large intestine,
there are bacteria that feast upon those carbs, releasing noxious gasses
along with plenty of carbon dioxide, and there's only one way out.

They're cheap at the dollar store.
