They aren't capable of understanding a patent's concerns and applying an adjustment to the aid's audio parameters to address the problem. This results in many trips to the office to have adjustments made. It can be frustrating and sometimes the patient ends up thinking the aid programmer has problem with hearing them. I feel your pain. |

Most of the time, reducing the amplification at low frequencies is the first thing that should be done. Depending on the type of noise, reducing the maximum output at the highest input levels might also help. A lot depends on the nature of the noise, and the type of noise. For instance, traffic noise is handled differently than the noise of a crowded room. |
