What do you consider it to be?
A fruit?

I might have two carb-light meals in one day. Three would be
difficult to manage, since I have oatmeal for breakfast.

Everybody's different. I have moderate meals at 6 am, noon, and 6 pm.
Then I'm done eating for the day.

You do realize we are not grouping things as animal, mineral, vegetable,
right?

Nutritionally, grains are not equivalent to, say, broccoli. It makes
more sense to divide the plant kingdom into three nutritional/culinary
groups:

Fruit
Vegetable
Grain

Aren't you the guy who says rice is empty calories?

You are what you eat. Cows eat grains, so they are vegetables.

"Grains are not vegetables! Rice is not a vegetable. ... Rye and
