Default Beating your meat

Beating your meat with an aluminum mallet can lead to nice carne asada.
I took a ~2" piece of bottom round, cut it into two 1" slabs, then
pounded it thin. I seasoned it with ancho powder, some adobo seasoning
and a little extra onion powder, then fried it in peanut oil with added
beef fat that I cut off. Nice tostadas happened. The alcoholic
beverage d'jour is a cheap ($5) zinfandel, 1:1 w/w, with a little
sucralose, over ice. I can't imagine drinking zinfandel straight.
Jeez, it's 14.2% and while I love the bitterness of grape skin, it
needs a little sweetening. I bought one bottle to try it, but it's
only $4.50 a bottle if you buy 6. Now I'm thinking sangria.
