Default Dinner for the last three nights

Lemme see. Oh, yeah. Meatloaf, canned Italian flat beans and mashed potatoes
for one. Then chicken and noodles with saltines for two. We still have
meatloaf left. Maybe I can squeeze out another meal from the meatloaf. It
depends upon the uproar.
Ham and beans and something with another chicken in the near future. Whole
chickens were on sale today. I hate planning meals.

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes is good food. I wish we had that more often but it's not that easy to find mashed potatoes on this rock. Most of the restaurants here serve rice. I think most of the local people don't want to deal with potatoes. Well, I certainly don't. I love to eat them though.
Your meat loaf is probably better than mine. I like to stuff my meatloaf. Those were pretty much big, fat, fails. That's the breaks.

That's one way they are sold (with tomatoes and seasonings). You should
be able to find plain canned "Italian" flat beans. Are you able to find
Del Monte brand? Or perhaps Contadina?

Yes, check to see what's available. But really, they are just a
different variety of green beans.

I always add a little milk (or if I have it, cream) to mashed potatoes.

Potatoes might not be common (they certainly aren't grown) in Hawaii,
but again he's talking about restaurant fare. I'm sure he could find
potatoes at the grocery store and make mashed potatoes if he wanted to.
He said he and the "local people" don't want to deal with potatoes.
Oh well.

If he cooked white people's food, it would sap and impurify his
precious bodily fluids.

What's the big deal? There's a lot of people don't like to cook rice. Are they worried about polluting their bodies? No, they rather not deal with making it. Same thing with potatoes - inconceivable as that concept might seem to you.

Why wait? Look on line. Yes, Safeway on Maui sells russets and red
potatoes, if not more. Surprise? Of course not.
