I thinks she learned some things not taught in musical school. She's
kind of cute too, could play my flute.

That was fun to watch. Prim, proper and classically trained flutist
watches a flute beast. And she likes it, well most of it

In the mid 1970's I saw a Jethro Tull concert with Ian Anderson.
I was surprised at how active he was. He was all over the stage, often
with his classic stance, standing on one foot with the other on his knee.

At one point he jumped up on a 3' speaker and played, then he did a
front flip back to the floor while playing. It was more "show" than I
expected.

I took one for the team and actually clicked on the link.

THIS is what John does with all his free time since he gave up TV
and gainful employment?

I bet if you lop off the top of his skull inside you'll find a big
Jell-O(tm) pudding cup.

At least 2 people had already done that before you. Next.

The interesting thing about Ian Anderson is, despite his quite maniacal
stage appearance in those early days (boots, codpiece, and that hair and
yes, physicality) he eschewed the typical recreational drug use espoused
by other musicians of the era. He was (and is) all about the music.
That's not to say he didn't drink... he says he figured out how to get
notes out of a flute after someone told him it's like blowing into the
top of an empty beer bottle and it will produce a note:

Here's a blurb from an interview with Dan Rather that aired in 2020 as
he explains why he decided to learn to play the flute:
