The states and counties knew for over a year that mass vaccinations were
required of them. And now it is the states and counties that are
floundering.

If Canada's neighbor to the south was not the big, rich and wonderful United States, Canada's level of development would be about that of a Namibia, lol...

i thought it was three weeks or later?

as for those who are talking about time-lines and research the
drug companies were already doing research and development for
the previous SARS-COV virus. since they already had all that
work done it wasn't like they were starting from scratch.

as has been proven by the statistics these new vaccines are
very effective and very safe.

as soon as i can get one i will - it looks like that may
happen within the next month or two. i don't really go out
that much anyways, but as i do live with an elderly parent
i don't want to accidentally get them sick.

We were in a Sears store that was shutting down the other day. They were selling the fixtures and some manikins. One of the manikins had some pretty big bosoms and seemed to be big gal sized. Another, was a kid sized one with freakishly large arms - that one gives me the creeps. It's a hell of a life being a manikin.

Our county floundered for a week but put in a good system. Others still
confused. Then you have people that expect to be first. Our county had
140,000 eligible people and were getting 5000 shots a week. The news
has some old lady complaining "I registered two weeks ago and still have
not heard" Pretty simple math,

It has turned around for most and going smooth. Age reduced to 60 now too.

Say, that's not a bad idea. I can paint it in flesh tones and turn it into a lamp. That would be so awesome. Having a one-piece body and two left arms is a plus. Hopefully, she's still there!

There is always Jessica. Back about 1970 our company made custom molded
foam products. One or our customers wanted a ladies blouse form molded
in a pink or flesh color. He had the pattern made and the model was
actually a plaster cast of a model, Jessica. She was a perfect 32B.

The finished form was just neck to waist and hollow back, a shell to fit
a blouse or sweater. The owner modified a couple with wine corks and
made a dart board. He had it is his office and whenever customer came
in they would remark about it. Matt would say it is the only one in
existence but give it to them as a trophy to take home. Back in the
day, it was a popular gimmick that would not work today.

I was handed a lot of literature while there. When I got home I
marked my calender, I get my 2nd shot on the 6th of April. I was in no
hurry to get my first shot, I learned from the Polio vaccine that
speed is not essential, accuracy is. I was given the Pfizer MDV at
the local Walgreens.

My wife aready received both her shots, she was rushed through because
she teaches school. I decided to stop in at the local Walgreens to
ask about getting my shot, they couldn't tell me anything at that
time. I did some shopping and no sooner did I get home and started
putting my few grocereies away but my phone rang and I was asked by
the Walgreens pharmacist if I could come for my shot in two hours,
someone had canceled so I got their appointment. It was good I
stopped in to ask, otherwise out of sight out of mind. The pharmacist
and I know each other as we've had conversations whenever I stop in,
Torique (SP) is a very pleasant guy, I think he's from India. Torique
is into Rallye Racing as I. He drives MGs... I drove a '67 TR4A IRS,
with its Michelin X rubber it threaded twisty windy narrow roads like
silk. At that time no Corvette could get ahead from start to
finish... early Vettes were piggies.

Ah yes... the assumption being that he is a coward? There is a

Reminds me of snake handlers. Isn't that in Virginia? People handling
deadly snakes because the Lord will protect them. Religion can do
strange things to the human mind.

....die at a rate of less than a single percentage point. Yes, let's
all get behind an basically untested and unproven vaccine, using
technology never trialed on humans before, with no evidence of
efficacy or reducing the spread of the virus. OK, makes sense.

Agreed! Things like escalating international tensions deliberately,
marginalizing ~50% of voters into 2nd class citizens, shutting down
oil pipelines (after soliciting and getting support from the unions)
and THEN opening up supplies from overseas (gee I wonder why),
spurning the BLM movement now that the election has passed,
backtracking on his promises to provide student debt relief, stimulus
payments, etc etc.

You just don't get it, Gary. Orange man bad. That's all you need to

I dig that kind of work. Not to be a chauvinist, but 32B seems to be on the small side - not that there's anything wrong with that! I've been casting shells for hearing aids and earpieces for over 30 years. I don't think there's anybody on this island that is doing the things that I did. I don't know why that is.
I have to make an earpiece for a client today. A silicone impression is taken from a patient's ear and an investment is made from a clear hydro-gel. The earpiece is made of UV light sensitive material. UV cured plastic and finishes are getting popular these days but I've been using them for quite a while.

From the get-go, the Big Giant Talking Head acted as if Covid-19 was
nothing. Wait for warmer weather, it will go away. Bah! I'm not
giving him credit for anything other than encouraging his sheeple to not
wear masks and keep attending his rallies. Pharma companies weren't
waiting for him; they saw the writing on the wall *despite* his nonsense
rhetoric.

Yes, because what you say is not true. It was tested extensively with
good results. The technology has actually existed for some time but has
just not been used in a mass vaccine like this.

If no evidence of efficacy was shown it would not be approved.

LOL. Were you expect bad results being announced?

Exactly. It is untested in vaccines. You buy the bullshit that:

1: A year ago they said vaccines are being developed and should be
available by end of year. This, despite this never being achieved
before on such a short timeline - ever.

2: Testing, normally taking years, been reduced to weeks/months. LOL.

3: The mRNA vaccines are STILL essentially new and the ramifications
are still unknown. No matter what they say. These vaccines have NOT
undergone proper testing. No matter what you are told. This is
science, not politics.

>If no evidence of efficacy was shown it would not be approved.

That was a fait accompli a year ago. Vaccines were going to be
approved and released, no matter what. And they were.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Just repeating information
served to you.

My wife had a bad reaction to her first dose of Moderna, fever and
fatigue. That was almost a week ago, and she was fine after a day
or so. We all had Covid in December. I have been the strongest
proponent of vaccination for decades, and that hasn't changed. I've
had a few bad reactions to seasonal flu vaccines over the years, but
actually *getting* influenza is worse than hundreds of cases of
minor symptoms from the vaccine.

My hope is that this pandemic will cause more resources to be put
into vaccine development in general in the future--far more
resources--as well as more resources toward research and production
of more non-specific antiviral drugs.

May not be on the news but it would have have been allowed for use. I'm

The receptionist at work had the vaccine. She says that if felt like her arm would fall off. That's kind of a drag. She's an experienced RN so she tends not to overstate things medical. I'm scheduled to get the vaccine on Saturday so I'm pretty darn excited!

As if Trump ever did anything that wasn't specifically intended to
"own the libs". He cared only for:

1. Donald Trump
2. His constituents, because they would vote for Donald Trump

He showed his concern for his constituents by signing a tax cut that
largely benefited the rich. People like Donald Trump.

Neodome poster, that's the arithmetic of Covidiots. Excess deaths of
1 percent amount to ONE THOUSAND unnecessary deaths in a small town
of 100,000.

Your paranoia and false information about the vaccine shows a lack of
education.

That's not a genuine question, as if you'd be even interested. Proper
testing takes years, not months.

By breaking all the general rules with vaccine testing. Care to
provide examples of other vaccines developed, tested and deemed safe
in such a short time?

Uh-huh. You're obtuse as ****.

Yes, and?

Does the vaccine work? Yes or no?
