Travolta is licensed to fly jet airplanes. Perhaps that has something
to do with it.

And... he can afford it. Those things are really expensive to fly. It
could be $50,000 per hour or more. Heck, landing fees start at about
$3,000.

My bank started out as Memphis Bank & Trust. It went through a number
of mergers and buyouts over the years, changed names multiple times,
finally winding up as Regions Bank. It's funny, on the rare occasions I
have to call them about something they thank me for being a loyal
customer for over 30 years. Hey, you're just one in a very long chain
of bank names.

Even if you're an auto mechanic, you shouldn't name your kid Gumout.

If there was a Regions branch closer than 40 miles from where we live
now we'd probably still be using them . Like you , it was a different
animal when we started , United American IIRC .

Maybe 'First American'? I don't really need a bank branch nearby.
There are three of them (that I know of) in the Beaufort area, walk-in
and with ATM's. I cannot remember the last time I went inside a bank
branch or used an ATM.

Did he have to get permission from david miscavige to obtain his
license? Or, did he get it directly from L Ron himself?

Trump's 757 has been sitting idle for a long time now. Needs some
engine repair. In the article they gave operational cost $10,000 to
$15,000 per hour.

Try some gumout on your next tampon!

But don't do that if you plan to feed it to Popeye.

We should burn the godamn thing. Trump cost us much more than that.

Both in money, and in self respect.

Perhaps we could recover some of the cost with guided tours, where
we could shit or **** inside the airframe for $500 or $100.

$10 for Hawaiians, and $2 for canadians [pst gst other st included,
no broker fee, whining exempt]

How about naming your son "Dwezel"
and your daughter "Moon Unit"

That's cruel.

I had hippy friends who named their son Sunny Jim. The least they could
have done would be to spell it Sonny.

You spelled "Dweezil" wrong and left out "Ahmet Zappa" and "Diva Zappa".
Frank Zappa was a bit different. I'm not saying it is a great idea to
give your children really odd names but apparently they have not
objected nor attempted to change their names.

Moon Unit... and he wasn't even a hippy. Maybe his wife was. Anyway,
cool name. That becomes Moon, no worries.

It's a lot more distinguishable than "Dave Smith". You could organise
Olympic Games where all the contestants are named Dave Smith. The only
problem is that you'd know in advance who'll come first, second and
third.

UAB came before First American - we opened our first account there in
1982 . I don't do a lot of lobby business , but it's a small town and
many merchants don't take plastic . We probably hit the ATM for cash at
least a couple of times a month . 'Sides , the branch manager rides a
Harley too and knows me by name .

May have since changed, last time I went to the bank you needed an
appointment and were met at the locked door.

You should try an eye examination. You have to wear a mask during the
eye test. The optometrist tells you to read a line. You say the first
letter and your lens fogs up and you can't see any more of them for a 20
seconds.

Did that last Friday. They took my temperature, gave me hand sanitizer,
wiped all the equipment, etc.

I pulled the mask down enough not to fog.

When Warren buffet said that chartering aircraft was better than owning and maintaining aircraft, where were these Trump losers? Why didn't they listen? Oh, I forgot. Trumps only lose money.

My brother wanted to fly for Mrs. Antony who lived on this rock. She had a pretty cool jet and some kind of private airline. I guess it was an airline that rich people use so they don't have to travel in no stinkin' commercial plane. He didn't get the job but that's just as well. In the end, he did spend some time flying rich and famous people around the country. I thought that was pretty cool - as far as that goes. You can own and maintain jet aircraft profitably - if your main clients are the rich and famous and don't use it to jet your fat ass to and fro.
