It's not clearing until Friday? That sucks. You must bank with Wells Fargo! My son and his family got their checks too - four of them. Maybe they can buy me some food!

Bet you already have plans to spend it on overpriced stuff you don't

Checks. How quaint. Mine was direct-deposited to my bank a couple of
weeks ago.

I wish mine had been! I have no idea why it was not. I have my PAY direct deposited.

I guess our Govt. is just stupid! And most drivers are too! Not using the one device to let other drivers known which way to want to change directions, their OPTIONAL Turn Signals! ;-)

Do you have your income tax refund direct-deposited? It's all about your
"relationship" with the IRS, not with your employer.

(I can't recall if you can use direct transfer if you owe taxes. I arrange my
withholding so I get a small refund each year.)

That's ok though. Even though you don't get the $1400, you still win the
annual income game same as Carol here.

Maybe you two can fight it out for 1st and 2nd place wins.

I used to work with a couple of idiots that would claim no dependents on
their weekly tax deductions, then claim 1 dependent(themselves) on their
tax returns.

This was nothing but a zero interest savings account. At the end of the
year, they got larger tax refunds and both spent all that money within a
week.

One immediately bought a large screen tv and signed up for the deluxe
cable tv package. A year later he canceled the cable and sold the tv to
a pawn shop.

The other one bought a nice video game machine and some games. He sold
all that the next year too... to the same pawn shop. LOL

The pawn shop won.

The second guy actually claimed that he sold his new video games to the
pawn shop and made a profit. Liar liar pants on fire.

Had to pay a little this year. All I had to do was tell them what day
to take the money up to April 15.

No, you're the stupid one for not having your income tax return automatically
deposited into your banking account. Oh heck, I forgot. You haven't actually
completed a tax return in ages to get any money back and therefore set up
your automated deposit. Your refund has nothing to do with your few and far
between paychecks.

Apples and Oranges, dude. My stimulus check was direct deposited on
March 16th.

Nope, you are the stupid one. Are they supposed to guess your bank
account number?

Here's how it works (and has worked for the last year, dipshit). If you
filed a tax return for 2019 or for 2020, the IRS uses the info you
provided them to issue the stimulus checks. If direct deposit and your
bank info was on the return, that's how you get the stimulus check. If
not, they mail a physical check to your house.

If you didn't file a tax return in either of those years, when the whole
idea of stimulus checks came about due to Covid-19 you could have gone
on the IRS website, filled out a 1040 form showing zero or whatever
pittance of an income you may have had and filled in the information for
direct deposit. Obviously you are so wrapped up in your little world
you didn't bother to find out.

Even people who didn't have enough income to file a return (much less
expect a refund) for tax years 2019 or 2020 could have gone on the IRS
website, filled out the 1040 Form listing whatever little income there
was on their W-2's, or zero income, and provided them with the
information for Direct Deposit. The IRS set it up that way
*specifically* for the Covid-19 stimulus checks, so they'd know how to
handle the payments. This is the third stimulus check the government
has issued since Covid-19. Plenty of time for him to figure it out,
especially since this is not the first time this discussion has occurred.

I got a post-dated check today too. I haven't taken it out of the
mailbox yet ("Informed Delivery", mailbox is 200 yards away - ****
that), but I already know it's postdated the 26th. Just like last
April.

Not that post-dating prevents me from depositing or cashing it.\

$2,000 over the course of year in a savings account earns you about
$5 over the course of a year. I wouldn't call that stupid.
Sheeeeit - it cost them more than that just to cash the check at a
quickie mart or grocery store (since they don't have a bank
account).

The first direct deposits didn't hit the banks until the 17th. oem

I stand corrected. I recall looking at my bank's website, but it seemed
farther in the past than it actually was. Since I don't need the money
(and the first two stimulus payments are arguably still sitting in my
account), I didn't pay a lot of attention.

Some may have forgotten that according to Kuthe's posts when he was
still "Rich rich rich", his inheritance is controlled and managed by
what John called his "financial adviser". When John wanted to spend
large amounts of money he had to go cap in hand for his "advisor"'s
approval and consent.

Sounds like Daddy Kuthe father bequeathed the money to his
incompetent son, in a managed trust fund. Now drained dry.

My third stimulus check hit my bank account March 9. I paid off my
car loan on the 10th and saw it sitting in my savings account on that
date.

Be nice! The man has a genuine nissan leaf which burns ZERO gasoline.

And he has a stack of degrees, including cannabis nurse.

He runs a famous boarding house in da LOO.

He's only been arrested a couple of times, and was never busted for
molesting children.
