Still pretty nasty these days. Just use a tissue and toss it.
That said, a handkerchief is not as bad as hand washing cloth baby
diapers. I did that for about a year and a half. lol

I suppose you think that makes you special. Got anything against JC
Penney? Face it, you don't know how to use Google.

We were discussing m.e.n. and their use of handkerchiefs, not me using a hankie.

Kleenex are rough on AR coatings. I won't wipe my glasses with them.
(Do you wear glasses all the time? I put mine on before my feet hit the
floor in the morning, and except for showering I leave them on until I
go to bed at night.)

Although I prefer tissues (and don't need them very often), I carry a
handkerchief. Just in case. (If I leave it in my pocket and it goes through
the laundry, it's much less of a mess than tissues.)

No one has answered the question though. What do you do with that soggy
tissue when there is no trash can available? If you are at a theater do
you toss it under the seat? How about on a bus? Or do you stuff it in
your pocket like every handkerchief user does?

I always have to blow my nose when I wake up so I go through quite a bit
of tissues first thing in the morning. Sinus problems. I wouldn't use
a cloth handkerchief for that.

Like you, I put my glasses on when I wake up and don't take them off
again unless I'm showering until I go to bed. I have a microfiber cloth
in my purse for cleaning the lenses so they don't get scratched.
Tissues wouldn't work, especially not if they're the type with "lotion".
A handkerchief would work but the microfiber cloth is very soft so it
doesn't scratch/affect the coatings on the lenses. I wouldn't use it to
blow my nose. LOL

I haven't been to a theater in years nor have I taken a bus. Here's a
possible solution. Carry a little baggie with you in which to place the
soiled tissue then toss it out when you find a trash can.

Some folks like to go with reusable things over disposable ones.

They make a mess for others to have to cleanup. Thats why hankies are
a better way to go for most of us.

I have a special cloth to wipe my glasses that maintains the special coating
on the lenses. But if I do have to blow or wipe my nose, I head to a restroom if
I'm not at home and rip off a length of toilet paper. At home, I use Kleenex.

Your narrow thinking; I think you'll find many men that disagree with you. A lot
of men would object to carrying around a packet of Kleenex in their pocket as
you object to carrying a hanky.

Thank you, thank you. Next Gary will be preaching to us that coatings on
eye glasses are not necessary, a waste of money, and obsolete.

Well, you know Gary does object to the most simple everyday occurrences
and items that people go through and use. He'll gripe that those of us that
wear glasses don't need those coatings on our glasses as they are just
silly and a waste of money and he sees no advantage to them.

Sicking it into their own pocket is bad enough, but if they stick it into
*your* pocket, that's just wrong.

You can't even give an example of what I supposedly criticized you for
saying but yet you remember distinctly I twisted something you said.
You seem to readily recall it but can't show me exactly what I said.

I'm calling fairy tale until you can provide evidence.

I'll look it up later, but I can't believe you have forgotten already.
