The barn roof? How much Crystal Palace was involved?
I guess when you're so runted, a tumble from any height is farther to the ground and your center of gravity makes for a flatter splat. Will he still be able to make love 4X a day. reach the stove, and play the piano? |

I wasn't about to start peppering his wife with questions. Jill |

If he is bruised and battered enough to require a multi day stay in the hospital, I figure it was a car wreck. There doesn't seem to be anything else around the house that would cause that kind of injury. Unless he got up on the roof and I can't think he wouldn't hire something like that done. An ambulance probably took him direct to the hospital. Janet US |

But I didn't want lay into him too bad the first time we spoke if he'd taken a turn for the worse (I do have SOME scruples). OTOH, I didn't want to call the house and have his wife answer just to hear him yelling, "HANG UP! HANG UP!" from the adjacent room. But there's still time tonight to check hospitals after his wife has left for visiting hours and Nurse Ratchet with the big boobs has finished her 8:PM medication rounds.... Maybe after I have a few spiced rum and cokes. > I'm going to take a wild guess and say he fell off the deck while > tossing out leftovers for the wild critters but that's pure speculation > on my part. Yeah, he's already said he hires a local kid to even clean the gutters. So that's why I questioned "tumble". But I don't associate it with a car wreck. That would be an "accident" at the very modest. OTOH, hew was gushing about his "practically new" 30 year-old Land Cruiser worth $75K... Fortunately, his last two posts was him laying into Jill about asparagus, not me laying into him for his POS Land Cruiser (a whole week earlier) :-) But its still not like Gregory killing Sheryl or Andy killing Blake. -sw |

About ten years ago, we had an ex-governor do a half gainer with a full twist off his roof and onto the yard by accident. He didn´t make it. He was a year less old than I am now. You couldn´t get me on a roof with a cattle prod. I hope Sheldon is OK, and I doubt he was on the roof. leo |

Serious injury no matter how it happened. My old boss (age 83) just fell in his living room one night and hit the corner of his coffee table. He spent a week in the hospital, then moved to a facility that provided constant care, then back into the hospital for a while. He never did come home again. He died about a month later. Just that quick. |

I was cleaning the eaves trough. I was at the front corner where there is an overhang. I used to climb up the ladder and get in the overhang and could reach the eaves on the second story from there. I had the ladder at what I thought was an appropriate angle. I was just about to get into the overhang when the ladder kicked out. I went down. One leg slipped between two rungs, and when I hit the ground my other leg landed on the ladder shoving it back into the shin of the one that was between the rungs. I was in some serious pain. I thought I had broken my shin bone. I went to the ER and had to wait about 4 hours. As it turned out, nothing was broken. I got some pain meds. Shortly after than I bought some good quality gutter guards so I won't ever again have to climb up there to clean gutters. |

He is perfectly entitled to believe whatever he wants. Even a convicted murderer who injures himself needs assistance. |

It's usually the window cleaner and, ironically, he's in his 70s. |

It's usually the window cleaner and, ironically, he's in his 70s. Some people are better at it than others. I would never climb onto a roof. I experience vertigo if I have to look UP to clean something. Like the ceiling fans in the house. I have an extension wand duster but I have a hard time with balance if I have to look up while doing so. The person I hire to do yard work cleans the gutters for me when I ask him to. He mostly uses a leaf blower. He's younger than I am (yet has grandchildren). As far as cleaning the glass patio doors and such, they're a bit taller than I am. I have an extension wand with Windex cleaning pads and a hose for rinsing. For the really high windows which are for nothing but show in the living room, I don't bother washing them at all. The rain takes care of getting rid of the pollen and such. It's not as if I spend a great deal of time looking at windows that are 25 feet up and worrying about whether or not they are sparkling clean. Jill |

I did try to email him asking if he was okay a few months after his last post. It didn't bounce back as undeliverable but I also didn't get a reply. I think it's shameful of people like GM to be proud of "killing" (running off) anyone. Same as it is stupid for him to say everyone forges posts and nymshifts. Typical troll. Jill |

You sound almost proud of yourself. Wishing people dead is like something a child would do when they don't get their way at the moment. I honestly have never wished someone would die and certainly never thought, much less suggested online, they should kill themselves. That's twisted. Jill |

Typical troll. > I'd like to thank Princess Jill publicly right here in this froup for her sterling endorsement of me, lol... As for Lil' Wayne, maybe she had a stroke or something when she reached down, scrambling to retrieve her purse that she'd dropped... Or maybe she had a seizure during one of her frantic pillow - biting "episodes"... Or perhaps the parents in her nabe finally tarred and feathered her boy - diddling arse and ran her outta town... <chuckle> -- Best Greg |
