Despite claims that the border closed at the beginning of the pandemic we have been seeing thousands and thousands of people arriving by air from covid hot spots, and a lot of them have been infected. Now the migrant farm workers are arriving and because there were so many outbreaks among them last year they have been given priority. The plan was to vaccinate them at the airport upon arrival. There are no plans for priority vaccination for our border guards who are dealing with these people. |

There are no plans >for priority vaccination for our border guards who are dealing with >these people. The migrant farm workers thing is hard to figure how to handle. So many farmers have crops going to waste because they can't get pickers. Our local newspaper had an article about a local asparagus grower. Rather than throw away all his asparagus he offered free to local citizens to come and pick what they wanted. Over 5,000 people showed up. I would have gone myself but I already had plans to make use of a free shredder program to get rid of 5 boxes of business documents. Whichever freebie I would have chosen we would have been in line for an hour or more in pounding down rain. We need the rain so bad. The leaves on my lilac are wrinkled from lack of water. We are either going to pay a lot more for our food or some things just simply won't be available. Janet US |

So > many farmers have crops going to waste because they can't get > pickers. It is a tough call because they are essential to the economy.... since farmers pay so little that locals won't work for such low pay. I think it is a good idea that they get the vaccine. What I object to is them having priority over our own people, the ones who are paying for the health care system that is providing it. If it is important for them to be vaccinated they should get their first shot two weeks before coming here. My bigger issue is that we have this program to vaccinate them upon arrival, but they won't extend that to the CBSA staff who are processing the temporary foreign workers along with immigrants and refugees arriving from hot spots. Then there are the land borders crossings like Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. People entering the country are required to have a negative Covid test within 36 hours, then having to have another test on arrival and then go into isolation for two weeks. They are deemed risky enough to have to go through that, but the government has not given priority to the border guards overseeing it. > We are either going to pay a lot more for our food or some things > just simply won't be available. We have already given up a lot for cheap food. Tomatoes are now bred to be able to be picked mechanically without bruising and rotting. Taste is no longer important. |

The other day it dropped to 170, then up to 224, down to 180 then 169. Yesterday it was 33 and today only 24. Provincially we had risen to over 4500. Today there were only about 3500. Graphs of infection rates seem to show a downward trend. There had been an effort to vaccinate essential workers and people over 80. A few weeks ago they started mass vaccinations first for over 75, then 70 then 65 and around the same time started with the Astrazenica for people under 40. Between the mass vaccinations and the lockdown, things are starting to look promising. |

We went to a concert where the performer said he was partially paralyzed by a chiropractor which caused him to give up performing for years. He then gave the name of the guy that done it to him. I should have written the chiropractor's name down. It was a great concert. My guess is that a lot of musicians will go to chiropractors because they had a tendency towards repetitive body stresses. |

Does your daughter have enormous mammary glands? If so, Popeye will perform her titty massages free of charge. He will also adjust her spine so it can carry the weight of her massive bosoms. And he will polish her long thick nipples with old school shinola shoe polish. She will be a new wimmens!!!!!!!!! She only has to promise that she won't fart while Popeye is working on her, so don't feed her rich foods beforehand. |
