Our rates in Niagara had been pretty low after a lockdown, so the eased the restrictions outside of the Toronto area. It was nice to get out and resume life to some degree, but the lock down in Toronto left those people nowhere to shop local, so they headed out of town..... and rates rose in those places. |

I used to see bluebirds frequently but it's been years since I've spotted one. We have their cousin, the mockingbird, here. Although it is the state bird, I'm not impressed with them and their screeching. |

We were a little upset a couple months ago when, after a lock down, we were able to open up, but Toronto and the GTA were still locked down. We knew the GTA crowd would come down here to show and party..... and bring the virus with them. That is basically what happened. |

Our infection rates had dropped way, way down and they eased restrictions, but Toronto,Peel and York remained locked down. Just as many expected, the Toronto area people headed out of town to shop and play. Within a short time we ended up back in lock down. I know what you mean about farmers. There is no such thing as a good year for them. If the weather is perfect and there is a good crop the price is low. Then there are things like the Canada Wheat Board. That had been set up to protect farmers from being ripped up by the big food companies. It bought all their wheat and paid them for it, then the CWB stored it and marketed it for them. It worked great when prices were down and the farmers couldn't sell it themselves. When prices were up and the market was hot they bitched and whined about the wheat board being some sort of government Satan preventing them from profitting on their own produce. |

It was my understanding that 62% wanted to keep the WMB, and that is the same number that wanted to remove barley from its control. That was about the time that barley prices were hot and farmers wanted to be able to sell their crops themselves. It should be noted that the marketing board was only for western Canadian grains. Ontario has its own wheat marketing board. And we grow a lot of wheat here. |

Depending on what he's been in for, there might not have been any tests, scans, or X-rays. For example, to stitch up a bad laceration. I broke my ankle slightly over 40 years ago. Those records are long gone. The film X-rays, the paper copy of the emergency room records, all shredded. Cindy Hamilton |

I like to fly too. Shame they go so far up. Would be better if they flew at 5000 feet or so giving a good view. At the end of the trip the number of take off and landing should be equal too. |

I got a couple great presents this year, but have not been able to redeem them. The first was my birthday present, a familiarization flight at a local airport, basically a flying lesson. Then for Christmas my wife and son arranged for a flight in Harvard trainer at the War Birds Heritage museum in Hamilton. The guy who will be taking my up is a friend of my buddy, a former pilot. This guy also flies the Lancaster bomber they have there. |

The flight over here is pretty boring because it's mostly over a great expanse of water. If you're lucky, you might get some turbulence or your engine might blow up. That's always fun. Oddly enough, renting a car on this rock would probably cost more than the plane ticket. Some people will rent a U-Haul to drive around because it'll be cheaper. Ha ha, that's so weird. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5USIHRljCs |

The "urgent care" clinics in my small town are *affiliated* the local hospital and are connected by computer. They can access that information if necessary. They're mostly for treating minor injuries and illnesses. Going to the actual hospital ER costs a heck of a lot more. Jill |

Oddly > enough, renting a car on this rock would probably cost more than the > plane ticket. Some people will rent a U-Haul Car rentals vary a lot in price. Sometimes they are surprisingly cheap. When I flew with my brothers to Europe back in 1999 our plane was to fly to Europe, rent a car, drive up to Denmark to do the thing we had to do there and return to Paris. They wanted a full size Mercedes and priced it from various cities. All prices involved dropping the car in Paris. It was $1000 from Hamburg, $1800 from Paris, $2400 from Amsterdam and $3600 from Copenhagen. He opted for Hamburg. The last time I went to Denmark we rented a car for a day to go out to the war graves cemetery in Svino, about 60 miles from Copenhagen. I picked up the car in the morning and went the cemetery, then up to Tyllinge to see a friend and back to Copenhagen, about 150 miles total. Since I got back to the rental office past their closing time, I had to pay for parking in the lane behind their office, $20. Between the parking at their office, fuel, mileage and rental, it was over $200. Ouch. > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5USIHRljCs > Could have been worse. A fan blade could have snapped off, sliced through the engine body and into the cabin. |

In the case you describe he would most likely be connected with a catherter from the bladder than normal urination... the urine would be collected, measured, and tested. I doubt he'd be peeing into a toilet at will and flushing away the evidence. There are many medical reasons why urine is collected, measured, and tested... especially with women during pregnancy. |
