I think one should distinguish between a poster one doesn't like and an
identity stealing troll. I'm not a fan of Dave Smith but he's leagues
above a troll.

I know, but I was referring to the influence of American cuisine
outside of the US. It's minimal compared to the influence of chains
like McDoonald's.

Asian cuisines are a big influence in Australian restaurants. Bigger
than in people's homes, I'd say, at least when we're talking about
Skips.

I'll often try a new recipe to the letter the first time so I know what
was recommended.

If I like it enough to cook again, I usually make a few changes for my
tastes.
