Default Made it! 110.2 lbs!

Now wish me luck at HOLDING it! I need to randomly weigh 112/111 to
have a solid 110lb base. I've been randomly hitting the mark for a bit
but last 2 weeks have been stable.

Hey, I know most folks in the world struggle to lose weight. My best
friend is eating like a mouse and gaining and it's so frustating!

I've always been in the opposite direction so for me regaining to 110
is a good thing. It gives me a cushion for health.

Average caloric intake per day, 3,500 despite much of it being meat
free (not a virtue or a cost signal thing, just a taste preference).

A very happy day for me!

I was like that once. I was eating those beyond meat slices, with grits and maybe two fried eggs about three years ago every day for breakfast! Yes, the same breakfast 5 days a week and I finally got out of the 200 lbs bracket to the 100's.. But, then I moved and started a fattier morning restaurant diet. Now, I'm back up into the 200's.

She's deluding herself!
Thin people always overestimate the amount that they are eating.
Fat people always *underestimate* the amount that they are eating.

Congrats!! I used to be overweight (BMI 27) and have to be really
disciplined to keep it below 23.

My rule of thumb is to weigh less than the number of centimeters one is
taller than a metre.

Nope, only americans are stupid. They tend to trust. Canadians are
geniuses (but whine a lot). Australians are also geniuses, pretty
normal, but a few are complete ass holes.

congrats, i'm the opposite, my metabolism is slow and so my
daily calories have to run at about 1200 during the winter to
keep steady. exercise is the only thing that lets me burn off
extra weight and summertime is when to do it.

in the summer once i reach my goals i tend to slack off too
much again so this year i hope i can be a bit more persistent
and resistant.

having a cushion for health isn't a bad idea. 10lbs extra
on me is ok, 20lbs extra isn't (and 30 was horrible so glad i
took some of that off already).

Thanks, and happy you are normal yet in control of it all! As for
exercise, I do very little beyond stretching sets from my spine Doc,
that and letting the dog out (grin). He's very elderly for breed so
has to go out a lot.

When Charlotte was losing weight for bootcamp she had to diet for the
first time in her life but she got used to it and now knows how to
count calories and that 'cheating now and again' is ok but to work it
off. One thing that worked well for her is those 100 calorie portioned
snacks. She might eat 2, but she'd keep track and trim something else
back or go running or use the stationary bike.

It helped her to have ready access to things like lite cuisine frozen
dinners (smart ones also, lots of variety). Most were under 300
calories. Expensive but money isn't tight here.

I'd recommend looking into a simple stationary bike for winter use (or
just not feeling like getting outdoor exercise).

We have one in the living room but it's a smallish one so doesn't take
up a lot of space. It can be folded up but we don't.

You can find them used off 'NextDoor' or sometimes free at
'TrashNothing'. Mine has no battery but once you start pedaling the
control panel will light up and track time/calories and a few other
things. Has settings for how much resistance on pedaling.

This is close to it.

https://www.amazon.com/LifePro-X-FLE...dp/B08FHRFSM3/

We don't bother to fold it up but you could.

Proper weight per the charts for me is 118-132 so I'm a bit underweight
still but nothing to set the Doctors to frowning and my spine Doc
prefers I hold at the lesser values. He has patients with issues
similar to mine that onset later than mine yet are younger than me and
now wheelchair bound. The main difference? Weight. Excess weight as
you get older adds a lot of strain to the spinal column, so keep trim
best you can my friend, we want you happy and healthy!

Grin, not always. Some just have a freakish metabolism. You learn to
live with it. As I get older though, I can't eat as much at one
sitting so tend to 'graze' a lot.

I had a snack. 4oz fresh strawberries and 4oz Chevre cheese. 319
calories. Breakfast was our Japanese Rice Porridge. It works out at
200 calories per 1/2 cup. I had a cup. Pork Loin with our sauce mix
for lunch with rice, butter beans, heavily buttered corn on the cob and
steamed green beans with sauteed mushrooms (in bacon grease) and boiled
peanuts. Lunch will be probably 700 calories.

I'm at 1400 already today. Haven't had my post lunch snacks, dinner or
evening snacks.

Good, I am very glad for you! I just have to stop getting a bit sick
which throws me off eating much (so I get sicker). At 110, I hit the
stable zone. I feel well and keep well.

BTW, my BMI seems 20%? Small changes have big effect at my height. 23
is a good spot to be at so happy for you!

no more room at the inn. it is a small house here
and if anything comes in that means something should
go out. as it is i have to ration my book and bean
collectioning.

i'm normally fairly happy. i think health is just
going to do what it wants. aside from injuries i
rarely get sick. i did get my 2nd vax recently so that
is about as covered as that can get for now plus i don't
really go out that much anyways.

i'm glad the days are starting to warm up a bit more
and i can get outside. i have an acre of gardening to
get back to and planting season is starting up soon.

For what it's worth to you, the Marine Corps standards (at least 20
years ago) suggested a BMI of:

- 15% for men
- 25% for women

The best judge of fitness is to stand naked in front of a full-length

There are some folks who find humiliation more exciting than admiration.
I don't expect to experience either one. I just wish that there were more
nude beaches in the USA, not because I care about people looking at me
(because they wouldn't be), not because I would be looking at them (which
I wouldn't be), but because it feels good to be naked. When you're lying on
a sandy beach next to a clear Ozark creek, in dappled sunlight from the
trees, and it's 80F, and you've had lunch, maybe with a couple or three
beers, there's a huge difference in the way that feels if you are, or are not,
wearing a swimsuit.

Yes, well under it. In fact, not healthy for a female of child bearing
years.

WE hit planting season here already and garden underway. Hope it works
better than last year which was a fiasco!

I am keeping my fingers tonight. I was a little rash last week and
bought and planted a bunch of flowers and herbs. This is the third night
in a row that we have have frost alerts. It didn't happen the first two
nights so I am hoping that I can make it through tonight. The rule
around here is not to plant until the May 24th long weekend, but I have
been pushing it by a couple weeks for years.

Now there's a great way to stay in shape. Military exercise standards every morning.

frost in the forecast again for this evening and then
perhaps we're done, but i won't plant out any warm season
plants until the end of this month.

in all the years gardening here we've only had some
frost damage once by planting when we do. the plants
did recover so we didn't lose anything we planted but
i don't think the pepper crop that year was great.

i'm not even sure what we're planting this year yet.
tomatoes, onions, squash, melons, peas (some already
planted), beans, not sure if we're growing peppers or
not. hope the strawberries do ok.

once i know where all the warm weather stuff is going
i can plant beans in any empty spots. i always have
plenty of extra bean projects to work on and have hundreds
to select from so i normally plant anywhere from 30-50
different varieties.

We made it safely through three nights of frost warnings. There has
been no damage that I can see. The basil is generally a great
indicator. One short frost is enough to kill them immediately.

I think she means the late teenage bracket. Most others probably aren't looks conscious anymore, because they have so many other things going on.
