I know this because the newspapers remind me of it every year.
It is 41 years since Mount St. Helens blew up. That was the same week
that I got married. Not at all hard to remember.
Just trivia.

Really? I thought that you were just another 18 year old kid here in this all teen girl group. Plus you're married? And for that amount of time? I'm surprised that most marriages even last more than 5 minutes. Oh well. Happy anniversary day, anyway.

Congratulations. Are you planning a special meal?

Our 32nd anniversary is next month. I might try to talk my husband into
going out for a good burger and fries at a local bar. Or maybe tempura.

Nothing of note happened around that time, so I just have to remember it
the hard way. One year we kind of forgot. After a hard day working on
some DIY project we looked at each other and said, "Hey, isn't today our
anniversary?"

Neither sounds appetizing, espcially Mystery Meat Bar Burgers.

>Cindy Hamilton

A 32nd Anniversary is more deserving of sharing a thick
Porterhouse steak and a bottle of favorite vino. If youi doll up in
silver lame' you won't need to talk hubby into anything.

I also remember that DIY year Same thing.
There are a bunch of new venues in town; nothing really white
tablecloth, but worth a look see.
One place fascinates me. It just opened. It's order out to deliver
or pickup and go.
It's conceived in a huge warehouse. There is no dining in. It houses
maybe a dozen or more kitchens for higher end casual dining. You can
order a mixture of different kinds of cuisine from different kitchens,
it all shows up on one bill and is delivered by one of their own
delivery people -- makes for much faster delivery. So you want Thai
and I want Southern BBQ -- no problem. We can both select sides from
other kitchens. I think that sounds like fun.

No. Although, might get a cheesecake or Tuxedo chocolate cake from
Costco. I don't bake anymore and we both really enjoy those sweet

Every day is a celebration of a long, happy marriage, and every day is
another day to be happy that you found a long term partner. Many happy
returns, but daily rather than yearly.

In practice, that is how most of us "lifers" do it. And it's why we don't
make a big deal out of the anniversary.

Consider the people who want a "perfect" wedding. It's not about the
wedding day. It's about what happens every single day after that.

Back in high school women were told a Z I L L I O N zillion times how men would them to look. Yet, most ladies refuse to try to look dolled up and then they wonder why men lose interest. Oh well, just stay in suspense!

I spend my wedding night sleeping alone on the floor next to the bed.
LOL. That should have been a good clue.

Dude, you talk like you're 101, not 51.

We'll hey, look at it on the bright side. At least men still have an interest in beer.

A perfect wedding with the perfect wife still wouldn't hurt though, would it?

I don't want a woman all dolled up. When I kissed my wife my lips were
on her skin, not on a layer of makeup. Normal good hygiene lets the
natural beauty shine.

Nice you have something like that to associate your anniversary with.

I still remember the first time I saw John. It gave me a great
erection. You have a great eruption to recall yours, I have a great
erection to play with and recall mine.
