How the HELL can this be???

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_B9V983K_Y

Aloha Stadium is shutting down. The Stadium Authority announced on
Thursday, Dec. 17, that it will be closed indefinitely after all
previously scheduled events are honored.

Maybe if they didn't "Pocket" the money, that was set aside, for
repairs, infrastructure and maintenance of the stadium, we wouldn't have
this problem, if you don't believe me, take a look around Hawaii, roads
that haven't seen new or fresh pavement, in years, large metal plates
(that are everywhere), that are meant to be "Temporary", is still
covering the same hole for the past 30 years, water main breaks, occur
almost on a weekly basis, spring up everywhere, due to the neglect, and
aging pipes, that they'll repair, just that one section, instead of
removing the whole pipeline, and putting in a new one, "Putting a Band
Aid", over it, and calling it good, until the next water main break,
iwhich s almost a certainty, it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN!,
anything to cut corners, and POCKET the rest, and that's why Hawaii's
Infrastructure, is Crumbling, AGES OLD NEGLECT AND MISMANAGEMENT AND
MISUSE OF ALLOCATED AND ALLOTTED FUNDS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE AND
MAINTENANCE!!!

It's scary! I found a huge screw on the ground last time I was there.
Looked like it fell from a rusted spot.

No maintenance since 2017???

Dang.

Sure hope they get "the new one" built...

That place was rusting while it was being built. It was made with some special material that generated a protective oxide coating that required no maintenance. How often have we heard that one? That didn't work out so the place had to be painted shortly after it was built. That's the breaks. Hopefully, the next one will last a little longer. My guess is that we'll be seeing flying cars before we see the new Aloha Stadium. Oh boy, I love flying cars!

Tune into the next "Jetson's" episode on MeTV. Sunday mornings at 11:30
am Eastern time.

Also for a new (to me) amusing cartoon, check out "Apple & Onion"
weekday evenings on the Cartoon Network. I find these very amusing.
I'm sure you can google episodes too.

I have seen Apple & Onion - and more. The new cartoons seem to be like some sort of LSD/fever dream. They are very strange. The music my granddaughter likes are on the morbid/horror/video game genre. It's some really twisted stuff. Kids these days!

Is that the old stadium? Can't tell as it is night.

Building in a maritime clime shouldn't mean immediate rust.

The literally ANCIENT Orange Bowl in Miami soldiers on after a spiffy
remodel:

https://www.orangebowl.org/tickets/f...rdrockstadium/

With 25 years as one of the nation's premier sports facilities, Hard
Rock Stadium is South Floridas home to the Miami Dolphins, University
of Miami Hurricanes, Capital One Orange Bowl and other world-class
events. This multi-purpose, open-air complex hosted its first football
game in August 1987 and its first regular season Major League Baseball
game in April 1993. It has been home to five Super Bowls, four BCS
National Championships, two World Series and was the first stadium to
host the NFL Pro Bowl after 30 years of the game being held in Hawaii.

In 2007, the stadium underwent $250 million in improvements and
innovations, adding 360,000 square feet of programmable space, new
leading edge technology and superior amenities. Additional enhancements
were made in 2009 with the refurbishment of concession stands,
installation of flat-screen TVs, renovation of the end zone executive
suites and the creation of the sideline club and lounge among many
others. In 2010, new corporate offices were built on the east side of
the Stadium in order to consolidate the business offices of the Miami
Dolphins
