Must be sale, they're about $2.50-$3 bunch here (maybe a pound of
beets in all), and 95% water. They're never cheap unless canned.

What does it matter? That sound the most time and energy consuming
and the most destructive. Just buy some dried beets and powder them
(Costco has organic dried) and then ingest however you want. Or
take a multi vitamin daily rather than chasing each new prospective
health fad.

I've never tried "Nextdoor." Sounds like a bunch of neighbors that like

We need something like that for one of our neighbour's. We have
known to say that if you want to get the word out about something
telephone telagraph or tell Bernice. She called here about a week and a
half ago, first time we had heard from her in a while. After a while I
got the impression that she was fishing for information.

Eventually she came out and asked me if I knew what was going on at her
next door neighbour's house. Apparently there were several cars there
and the lights were on at 3 am. She had asked another neighbour but he
would not tell her anything. About a week later the guy's obituary was
in the paper.

One of the worst I every encounted was Bob the hay guy who used to
deliver hay for my friend's horses. He told us one night that his
neighbour was a drug addict. When asked how he knew that he said there
were empty methadone boxes in his garbage. I asked him if he went
through his neighbour's garbage... yes he did, and he was not
embarrassed to admit it.

Knowing that he goes through people's garbage cans, you could have a lot
of fun. A bloody shirt, several stab holes, and a bloody butcher knife
with the handle obviously wiped of finger prints?

Maybe photos of the snoops property, with battle plan notations?

I suppose you could have a lot of fun with it. The thing that got me
about Bob the hay guy was that I asked him if he was embarrassed to
admit that he went through his neighbour's garbage and he saw nothing
wrong with it.

When we first moved here our back yard was pretty open and our patio was
visible from the road and the blue haired neighbour's place. One weekend
I went out and bough enough lumber to build two sections of fencing to
put up privacy fence. I tackled the job right away and was finished by
noon. I went inside to get some lunch and as soon as I opened the door
the phone rang. It was our neighbour and she said that she noticed that
I had put up a fence. Yes, I had, and it had already proved its worth.
I think the fact that she just happened to catch me as I was going
into the house meant that she had been spying on me.

A little later a friend had a bunch of extra spruce seedlings and I
planted a row of them to block her view even more. Bridal wreath across
the road side of the patio and along the property line on the other side
keeps more prying eyes out of my business.

Proverbs 25:17-18 ESV:

"Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor's house, lest he have his fill of you and hate you. A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow..."

True. I am fairly observant but not nosy. We do keep an eye out for
stange vehicles coming and going, especially when the neighbours are away.

We had a break in years ago and it was one of the rare cases where the
culprits got caught. One of the ring had been busted for something else
and ratted out his friends and told them that our place was targetted
because they knew we had gone on a ski vacation.

The cops were keeping an eye on it with frequent patrols and in the
afternoon they noticed a broken basement window. The gangs MO was to
break in through the basement, check the place out and unlock the door
to come back later to clean it out. They staked out the house with two
cops hiding in the house and a couple more in each of the houses of the
three closest neighbours.

The thieves returned early in the evening. The cops swarmed in and
caught three of them in the house. The fourth was sitting in his car.
The cops approached the car so he rolled up the windows and locked the
doors. They smashed the windows and reached in to grab him. He tried to
take off and dragged the cops for a bit.

Sad part is that two of the gang were welfare cases. The 17 year old
driver was from a welfare family and owned his own car. One of the
others was on "student welfare". Four days after getting busting
burlarzing our house he was arrested at the local mall. He had gone into
a jewlery store and asked to see some of the rings on a tray. When the
sales lady set the tray on top of the glass case he grabbed it and ran.
However, he only made it about 10 years before he pulled a Charlie horse
and fell like a sack of potatoes.

I don't know about gossip but the local "Nextdoor" group (Beaufort area)
is filled with stuff like, "Does anyone know what happened with a boat
wreck near ______?" A few days ago someone asked, "Why was there a
Sheriff's Department helicopter flying over Port Royal?" Don't know and
don't care.

It's a matter of time. One day the question will be "Why is there a
masked man with a gun in Jill McKuthe's front yard?" And then you'll
want to know the answer.

My wife drinks sour cherry juice for her arthritis and gets a lot more
relief from that than she ever did from the prescription medications she
had been taking, many of which ended up being taken off the market.
There are a number of sour cherry orchards in the area and one of them
processes them into various products, one of which is concentrated
juice. You mix it about 10-1 with water and it makes a very tasty drink
which has the added benefit of relieving joint problems.

The best cure is caribou tea. No need to kill the animal. Just
collect some caribou shit and steep it into a tea.

Tell your wife it has magic properties. You already know she is
highly susceptible to suggestion, and she's not very bright.

John has spare rooms to rent, give him a call and he might give you a
break on the price. You could help him with lawn mowing and listen
to lectures on the evils of gas engines. Then you could help him with
his CheepEffects website.

Ok Wolfy | Bruce forging Wolfy:

How does 'don't care' confirm narcissism?

Would she not have to care one way or the other if a narcissist?
