Was walking home from the convenience store this afternoon when I was mugged
by my local used car salesman and my local Mexican fruit stand owner. Not sure how they got together. Maybe some sort of holiday used car special featuring a '93 Olds Cierra full of chayote squash. Anyway, they asked me if I wanted a free pumpkin pie. Well sure, sez I. I thanked them and chewed the fat for a few minutes then walked on home lugging and marveling at the size of this gorgeous p/p which couldn't have occupied one millimeter less real-estate than New Mexico. Being a bit gun shy of prefab pies after tasting a sweet potato pie from Safeway ...which had the same basic consistency as modeling clay... I was totally stuned by this monster pie. It is absolutely excellent! Who made this 12" masterpiece? Finally, on the low bottom side I find the tag. Costco ...$5.99! Un-freakin-bee-lievable! If you're a Costco member, I highly recommend this pie. nb ...gar-un-teed 4lbs heavier after I finish this orange beast! ![]() |
