Default hedgehogs

Awhile back there was a post for hedgehogs -- the following is a recipe
given to me by my mother:

Oops, I hadn't quite finished my train of thought............ I intend to
make these for an upcoming cookie exchange. I guess if it was ok not too
cook the egg back then, it should be ok not to cook it now either. And
these were stored for days without the benefit of refridgeration.

My how times have changed.

HEDGEHOGS

half pound, tea biscuits (crushed)
quarter pound marg.
quarter pound castor sugar
quarter poundt grated chocolate ( cadbury or good quality plain or milk)
melt the marg in a saucepan,
add the grated choc.
remove the mixture from heat
cool somewhat and add egg beaten
put in tin and pat until flat
ice ( peppermint icing and colour it green.) just add a little peppermint
flavouring )
