Default Help me identify crock-pot/fryer by Dazey?

I just inherited a Dazey crock-pot/fryer from my mother-in-law. There
are no instructions and I'm trying to figure out whether I have all the
pieces and how to use them. I hope someone out there can help!

Here's a description of the various pieces:

* a brown metal cylinder on legs

* a thermostat the plugs into the cylinder with the word "Dazey" on
it---the thermostat ranges from "Simmer" to 400+ degrees, which is also
labeled "Auto-fry"

* a brown ceramic crock insert that fits into the metal cylinder

* a metal basket with holes (looks like a fryer basket)

* a strange metal piece that looks like it ought to be a handle for the
fryer basket, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to attach
it to the basket

The thermostat says on the back "115 VOLTS A.C. 1650 WATTS / MODEL P500
/ E31816 / CONTROL NO. DTC-1".

The metal cylinder says on the bottom "IMMERSIBLE 1400 WATTS 120 VOLTS
60 HZ. A.C. ONLY FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY". It also says "DAZEY PRODUCTS
CO. INDUSTRIAL AIRPORT KS. MODEL DCP-6 / UL LISTED 756J USE ONLY MODEL
DTC-1 TEMP. CONTROL".

Any help? I'd love a copy of the instructions, or an address or phone
number where I can get in touch with the manufacturer.

Thanks!!

Hi-

I believe Dazey is now called Rival. Their website contact page is:
http://www.rivalproducts.com/support_files/contact.aspx

A google search turns up multiple hits for Dazey CDP-6, however, none are on
ebay right now. This however looks close....

Please, always remember that in cases like this, Google and eBay are your
best friends.

Well, I called Rival (who bought out Dazey) and this model is too old
for them to have an owner's manual. If someone out there has this
model and is willing to photocopy the manual and send it to me, I'd be
very appreciative (and would reimburse expenses, of course!).

Thanks,
