Default Chicken

I mistakenly left out some chicken breasts on the counter for about 12
hours. Would they still be safe to eat?

Raw or cooked? If raw, probably best to be safe and pitch them. If cooked,
probably OK.

Were they frozen to start with or just refrigerated? If frozen and the room
wasn't too warm, they're probably alright. Otherwise, I'd pitch.

I've thawed stuff in the microwave at room temp. overnight to keep the
cats away from it on numerous occasions...

and I'm still here. ;-) It's often been 12 to 14 hours.
The stuff does start out frozen tho'.
