Has anyone done anything fun with marzipan? I'm thinking
I would like to make a few things with it, like the tiny molded fruits. I've searched a bit online but haven't found a wealth of information on it. And some things, I'm just plain ignorant on. Like for example, when they sell molds for marzipan, are they flat on one side so that you don't really get a true shape, or do the molds have two sides that close like a book to give you a complete shape. I would like to buy a couple cheap molds and experiment. Any secrets, suggestions, or hints would be appreciated. For Christmas I bake up about 10 or 12 different types of cookies, bars, and candies, and box them up and give them away as presents. I'm targeting the marzipan to lend color and variety to the mix. Thank you, Michael |
