Default How to microwave a sweet potato?


Can anyone kindly tell me the correct time and settings to microwave a
sweet potato weighing 425 grams? (Smallish microwave oven)

Wash it, and nuke it for several minutes (the same time as a similarly
sized Irish potato) until it's soft when you stick a fork in it.

They're not as good as when baked in a real oven.

That's what I do. Then I split them open, add butter and put 'em back in the
nuker for about a minute

No, they're not but they're pretty good nuked.

I prefer mine pressure cooked now. :-)
Baking them dried them out too much.

Steaming is the way to go I reckon - nothing wasted, nothing lost - cooks to
perfection
