I don't know where you live, but the supermarkets in the Philadelphia area where I live all sell at least two brands of low sodium beef, check and even vegetable broth. Look in the same section where the canned broths are sold, or ask at the store's customer service desk where you regularly shop. |

At all. Make your own in large pots and just freeze or can it. Packaged correctly, it can can for a few years, or freeze double bagged for about 1 year. 1/2 tsp. of salt is roughly 1,000 mg. of sodium. (or so my doctor told me) and a sodium restricted diet is 2,000 mg. or less per day. -- K. A lot of low sodium soup brands do, including Cambells. I like to get their low sodium chicken broth even tho' it's pricey. Too much potassium in the diet can be deadly to a dialysis patient as excess potassium in the body is removed by the kidneys. That is even a bigger danger than the sodium AFAIK? -- K. It's EASY to find low sodium stocks, cubes, broths and bullion, but most of them add potassium chloride to make up for it. The OP needs to avoid that too! -- K.
