Default low (er) sodium and beef broth

I'm looking for lazy man's chicken and beef broth in either
canned or dehydrated form that has not been laced with potassium
I'm on a dialysis diet and have to watch both sodium and
potassium. I know the short answer is to make my own broth but
I never seem to have any on hand when I need it for a cooking
project
Thank you in advance for responding.

This isn't intended as a "shot" at all, but do you have a freezer? I
declare "stock days" periodically. Make different kinds and into the
freezer.

Why is it that most nudists are people you don't want to see naked?

Oh, I forgot. I believe that College Inn sells a "low sodium" version
although I haven't used it. You'd need to check the label.

By law, dialysis clinics in the US must have a registered dietitian on
staff. He/she should know brand, location, and amount allowed in your diet.

Where did you look? I don't know where you live, but the
supermarkets in the Philadelphia area where I live all
sell at least two brands of low sodium beef, check and
even vegetable broth. Look in the same section where the
canned broths are sold, or ask at the store's customer
service desk where you regularly shop.

You are not going to find one commercially prepared.

At all.

Make your own in large pots and just freeze or can it.

Packaged correctly, it can can for a few years, or freeze double bagged
for about 1 year.

1/2 tsp. of salt is roughly 1,000 mg. of sodium. (or so my doctor told
me) and a sodium restricted diet is 2,000 mg. or less per day.

But do they add potassium chloride to replace the salt???
A lot of low sodium soup brands do, including Cambells.
I like to get their low sodium chicken broth even tho' it's pricey.

Too much potassium in the diet can be deadly to a dialysis patient as
excess potassium in the body is removed by the kidneys.

That is even a bigger danger than the sodium AFAIK?

Not a clue Katra. That's why I added the suggestion that the OP read
the label.
