Default Benefits of the cold snap

Local grape growers are delighted by the current cold snap. They have
been out harvesting their ice wine crops and are having one of the best
years ever thanks to the cold snap coming early. The longer the grapes
sit on the vines the drier and more desiccated they get. The
temperature has to be at least -8 C for the ice wine harvest, and when
it suddenly dropped yesterday they went out in full force to get the
grapes in and into the crushers before they could thaw, resulting in a
bumper crop of excellent quality.
