Hi - can someone post a good recipe for
homade cherry and/or blue berry pie filling?

I make a lot of sour cherry pies with frozen cherries. I get out enough
cherries for the pie, add 1 cup sugar and 3 Tbsp. minute Tapioca and put
them all in a medium sized pot over medium heat, bring it to a boil and
cook it for about 5 minutes. Cool slightly before pouring it into the
pie. If using fresh cherries, just through everything into the pie
without cooking.

Why do you cook the fruit that was frozen?
