Obviously all of us love to eat and use newsgroups. For those of you
who have not tried out this recipe NG, it is great. Moderated so no
spam and great recipes. Try out:

rec.food.recipes

Happy Holiday eating!

I found it to be terribly dull actually. I guess I
like a little conversation with my recipes.

I agree! Might be some great recipes there but you can't reply to them with
any real success.

Agreed. I gave up on that group years ago.

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dogs face they get mad at
you but when you take them for a ride in the car they stick their head
out of the window?

You can, but they allow it ti be either another recipe or a suggestion,
definitely not OT, unless you can somehow bypass/forge the approval header.

I used to read that group, but I found *way* too many bad recipes. These
ranged from unsafe (infused oils, cakes baked in a jar) to simply
crappy. I don't trust the recipes they post there; it seems that many of
the posts in response to requests result from simply Googling the issue
and posting the first hit or two.

We're too chatty to take rfr for long. I rarely even
browse it anymore.

However, it's a good ng to "lurk" in for those who grumble
about all the rfc topics that aren't food related or spin
off into something OT.
