If you think about it, the labor isn't much - nor is the
cost of seasoning & roasting.

I prefer cooking my own chicken. Hubby buys them "done".
So there's something for everyone.

Yes, it's done to avoid letting the chicken spoil
and throwing it away.

However, the chicken isn't spoiled when they cook it.

Far from it.
