Hi, group!
Right now, I'd like to make some popovers, because I have a craving for some. However, I have a question. The two recipes I have each call for a certain amount of milk. All well and good, but I don't have any milk. Can I substitute an equal amount of water and have them turn out all right? (I believe I have the rest of the ingredients.) Thanks. Dieter Zakas |

So take some water, say 1/2 cup, add 1 tsp. of butter, mix a 1/2 tsp. of sugar, and you pretty much have a concoction that resembles milk. Also, do you have any dried powder milk, or canned evaporated milk? HTH, Rich -- "Dum Spiro, Spero." As long as I breath, I hope. You don't need milk fat to make popovers. N. |

If you have some butter, melt a spoonful of that and add to the batter. |
