I think I've posted this before, but we just had it for
dinner and it was wonderful, if I do say so myself. This is something I created after getting advice in RFC: Pork Chops in Cream Sauce w/Almonds 1¾ lbs. thin cut, boneless pork chops 1/3 C. chopped, slivered almonds ½ medium onion, sliced 1-2 cloves minced garlic 1 C. half & half 1 T. butter 2 T. Olive Oil Salt & Pepper In two large frying pans, saute chops in olive oil, onion slices, garlic, and S&P. Remove chops from pans and keep warm. Deglaze pans with half & half; simmer and stir until reduced by half. Meanwhile, in seperate pan, toast chopped almonds in butter. Add to cream sauce and pour over chops. 8 servings, 310 calories per serving. -- J.J. in WA ~ mom, vid gamer, novice cook ~ "I rule you!" - Travis of the Cosmos, ATHF |
