Group,
I recently subscribed to rec.food.cooking, please forgive me if this is an old subject. I did my best to search Google Groups, yet did not find much. I'm looking for the best 30" gas range for home use. Please tell me what you like and why. rwb |

I'm sure you'll get some responses here, but you'd do better to post this question to rec.food.equipment. Lots of discussion and Q&A on ranges. Wayne |

It's a 4 burner gas top with an electric convection oven and warming drawer. The black top and stailess bottom fit well in the decor and the features were ones I use. I especially like having the different burners (2 9500 BTU, 1 12000 BTU "Superburner), and a 5000 BTU simmerburner). The sealed top make it wasy to clean and the electric ignition is convenient. The convection oven is dead-on accurate for temp and very even. Insulation is good so it holds heat for a long time. I topped the unit with a 36" Broan Rangemaster hood with the extra strength 900 CFM blower. This thing will suck fryingpans off the stovetop. Then I added magnet strips on both sides of the hood and across the backsplash. That way all my "gadgets" are help out of the way until needed. Overall the setup looks like a mini version of a commercial kitchen and handles nearly everything I've wanted to cook for the past 4 years. -- Pete Romfh, Telecom Geek & Amateur Gourmet. promfh at hal dash pc dot org |
