Almond Tea Bread

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 1/4 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/8 cups vegetable oil
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons almond flavor/extract
1 1/2 teaspoons butter flavoring
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Glaze:
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon almond flavor
1/2 teaspoon butter flavor
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cream together the sugar, eggs, and oil. Sift dry ingredients
together and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add
remaining ingredients and beat 1-2 minutes.

Pour into two 9x5x3" greased and floured loaf pans, or 5 smaller
ones and bake at 350 degrees 45 minutes or until done. Mix glaze
ingredients together; glaze while bread is warm.

Wow, thanks Jammy-Ma'am, I have printed and will definitely make this.
My Marines devoured two loaves of the (crumbly) Nutty Orange Marmalade
bread just today, so I'll have them wait a bit for this one! (I don't
care to spoil them too regularly, as I'd rather bring them things not
expected.)
