Default My little gourmet shopping trip....

Just had a lovely shopping trip spoiling myself whilst my new car was
getting its first free service. Had to drive 60 miles (90km) to 'the
city' where there were some speciality foodie stores (a la Williams
Sonoma)nearby to the auto place. This week had not started well as I
dislocated a lower back vertebrae on Monday lifting a bale of garden
mulch (this confirmed what I already knew - gardening is not for me,
give me a kitchen anytime <g>). So I figured some retail therapy was
in order.
Back to the stores, purchased some dried blueberries (prob. from US of
A), EVO Oil in which I plan to steep a vanilla bean); beautiful fresh
roasted brazil nuts, candied angelica (very hard to source at times
here), silicon spatula and a silicon pastry brush I haven't seen before
which will stop it gunging up on hot things. In the fresh food
department - sweet potato & macadamia nut ravioli and a spinach &
ricotta tortolini.
Home again now and I feel like my old cheerful self again and the back
is improving. (It got re-aligned by the chiropractor yesterday).
Cheers
Bronwyn
