Hello Everyone,
Is anyone familiar with the Slow Food movement? Is there any advantages to joining the group as opposed to just having a food group that has dinner together once a month or so? Is anyone in this group a member? Etc.? I was discussing Slow Food with some friends and we talked about starting a local convivium since the nearest one is about a two-and-a-half hour drive away. So I emailed the person on the website listed as the new convivium guy. It's been at lest two months and no reply. Is there any point in pursuing this? Thanks, Ken |

![]() > Is anyone familiar with the Slow Food movement? Is there any I'm a member, and belong to a convivium on the California coast. We try to have events that support local farmers; we try to educate ourselves about farming and politics; occassionaly we go to a school and teach kids about gardening; we eat good food. But each convivium is different. Slow Food is a political organization, so I would say it's a good idea to create a convivium if you want to support their efforts and have some good food and good company while you're at it. Jeneen |
