Default Shopping for lamb in Los Angeles?

I'm new here, so if this is not an appropriate post for this group let
me know.
I'm in search of a good market for lamb in Los Angeles, as many of my
usual haunts don't really carry a good selection of the stuff, and by
nature am usually leaning towards the best $$ value. I thought that
somewhere in Glendale may be a good spot, as they have a large Armenian
population and lots of good mid-eastern restaurants. Does anyone here
have a good tip for me? I live in Echo Park and know most of the good
little groceries around here, but none have much in the way of lamb, or
at least lamb at a better price than Gelsons.
Thanks in advance, and if this is not the sort of query that's ok to
post here I won't do it again. Seemed harmless enough, though,...

Have you tried Costco? I live near San Diego, and having searched
various markets, both super- and specialty- I always find the best meat
at Costco. I will make a special trip there to buy their lamb chops and
steaks. But then, Costco insists on selling the best of every product.

There is a rather new and large Armenian, Greek, Mexican market (what can I
say, that's the customer base) on San Fernando Rd, between Sonoma & Western
in Glendale, on the west side of San Fernando just past the 99 cent store.
I haven't been there in awhile, but they do have a lot of lamb and REAL
BUTCHERS to serve you. If you're familiar with the western part of
Glendale, near the Burbank border you should be able to find the place
easily enough. Plus a large variety of middle-eastern products and a pretty
good fresh produce department.

Good suggestion. I was also going to recommend Costco. The nearest one
to Echo Park is the Costco on Los Feliz in A****er (just outside
Glendale).
