Hey, thanks, Ginny. I did spend a night in Allentown some years ago, but
they didn't ask me to stay and be their mayor.

I'm sure you could host one heck of a cook-out that would never be
forgotten!

You know...you could go to Allentown NOW and get away with all kinds of
things. Go to a bar, cause a scene, and when someone tries to quiet things
down, shout out, "Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am? I'm ED
PAWLOWSKI, dammit, and Ed Pawlowski is a FORCE in this town!" You could
park anywhere you want, for that matter: What cop would give Ed Pawlowski a
ticket?

You are quite the rabble rouser, Bob - and you must have
been a lot of fun to be around in HS/College!

No, I was very quiet and reserved in my youth. It took the Navy to bring my
penchant for chaos forth -- well, that and years of watching Monty Python.

The Ed Pawlowski in question WAS the finance director of Allentown who
recently handed in his resignation due to shenanigans of the current mayor.
The current mayor was given a vote of no confidence by city council and
decided not to run for re-election.....he's a fool but not a masochist. So
right now, the mayor got ****ed of at council, fired ALL of the parks and
recreation people as well as most of the city streets department (with it
reaching a possible 18"of snow tonight we're wondering if the mayor will be
shoveling, since he fired the road crews). Our Ed could quite possibly get
away with just about anything where anarchy reigns.
