I like cabbage and about a third of a head isn't too carbish
I like onions but they're a little carby I like pork steak So I made a dish. preheat oven to 350F saute a quarter of a small onion (in slices) in oil over med heat in a dutch oven. remove and reserve, brown the pork steak in the oil. I like to preseason it with some fresh ground pepper and garlic powder before browning. When browned remove and reserve.Remove the dutch oven from the heat. Put the cabbage, and onions in the Dutch oven, stir them together. Nestle in the pork steak. And mix up a cup of water and 2 crushed chicken boullion cubes, and a bit of dry mustard powder. Pour over the ingredients. Season the pot with caraway seeds, and loads of pepper. Cook about 1 hour. serves me. You can add a mess of stuff to modify this. -- No Bread Crumbs were hurt in the making of this Meal. Type 2 Diabetic 1AC 5.6mmol or 101mg/dl Continuing to be Manitoban |
