Woodlands right? My husband is now in the consulting biz so we can live
anywhere in the area we want... vaguely entertaining the idea of looking at
houses in the Woodlands. Think I would really like it there! He'd move
back to Arizona in a heartbeat though... but it's not green like it is
here. I've really missed "green" when we've visited.

Not likely. I know this is a US fantasy, but it hasn't happened yet.
I guess it's too cold here for your taste, and as far as Québec goes,
you'd be hard pressed to power anything in New England without the
collaboration of the Québec government. You may not like it, but
you'll have to lump it :-)

We visited a college friend in Provo, on our way back from a trip
last spring. It was a beautiful place, there were some things about it
that would take it off our list of possible places to live, but it was
lovely. I'd like to take more time to visit there some time.

My hubby is a field engineer who works out of the house and does most of his
work in the Med Center, so we can live anywhere in the area that we want
also. We *love* it here. It's soooo much nicer than Sugar Land (where we
moved from). And it's grown and developed so much in the 12 years that have
passed since I last lived here. Tons of shopping and great restaurants of
all types of cuisines (they just opened a Mi Luna up here and are about to
open a Grotto). And the walking/biking trails that wind all through The
Woodlands and all the many, many great parks are just awesome. I have a
two-year-old, so we've really been enjoying all the many things available
here for kiddos (they've recently opened a Children's Museum up here that's
supposed to be pretty good). With all that's here, we hardly ever need to go
down into Houston (except maybe to go to the Village or to the zoo).

I think you'd really like it here, too, Chris! Hey, can't hurt to just
look at some homes up here. (And you did say you like it green...)

Alas, Terry, I only moved to AZ in 2000, but I do love the rocks and scrubby
vegetation! <g> We spent the first three years down in Queen Creek at the
foot of the SanTan Mountains, but a 67 mile one-way drive to work wore pretty
thin. We're now 36 miles from work, and I expect that we'll probably move
closer to the city before it's over. I do miss the raw desert we enjoyed
down in Queen Creek, however. BTW, I was born in Long Beach, CA, but my
family moved to the midwest before I was walking. Still, I'm a native
Californian. Looks like we traded places! <g>

I have relatives there, and spent about 3 months working there and
exploring. There was a really great brewery/brewpub at the bottom of Troy
Hill and my aunt lived up near the top. I spent quite a bit of time on that
hill...

But that was a long time ago when I was inclined to behave badly.
Pittsburgh was a perfectly wonderful place to behave badly. Got lots

Is mistake making, lady. Soon is St. Frghoptd Day and never have we
been having virgin sacrifices. Miche is be backing me here. We be
having virgin *races*, which you are mistaking for, but field is down
this year due to unable finding of virgins. Many trollops seeing,
though.

Thrpkt races is be going on for St. Frghoptd Day if this your meaning
is. Many casualties last year from thrpkt on chain around neck banging
competitors sideways. Many competitors not remembering to be waiting
for thrpkt to cool from j/lnglm cooking and getting also boob fry
disaster.

St. Frghoptd's Day is April 16 this year. One year major mistake
making and St. Frghoptd's Day is on Sunday. Villagers over hanging
from mled drinking contest and cows not get milked on Monday.

Am understanding Melba Jammin' j/lnglm preserves this year are big
stinky making. Mine preserves are big stomping of her *and* thrpkt
race running faster.

Miche, sadly, Elbonoroni Pie, is last of kind. Must ask for REC, as
this Elbonoroni Pie is Historic Record for Elbonian people. <sigh>
Elbonian people fading fast in knowledge of rec.food.cooking world.
