Default Quiet, Powerful Cooktop Hood

Can anyone recommend a really powerful but quiet brand of hood for a
6-burner gas cooktop?

The only way to get powerful and quiet is to install a hood with the
motor/fan up on the roof or somewhere outside like you typically find in
a restaurant kitchen.

Take a look at Broan. I don't use gas, but I do have a 48
inch cooktop with a double sized indoor grill in the middle.
I have two fans instead of the optional 3 or 4 and I haven't
been sorry for a minute about the choice. In fact, I use
only one fan set on low speed for most of my ventilation
needs.

Do take a look at Broan, but I goofed on what brand my own
hood was (that's what happens when they don't display their
brand name prominantly).

I have a Vent-A-Hood and all praise still applies.

You'll never find a silent hood whether it's a roof mount or
interior mount (I've had both), but some are quieter than
others.
