Default Paella rice

Can anyone recommend the best type of rice for paella?

Thanks,

Any short-grained rice should do. When I can't have it imported from
Valencia, anything marketed as "arborio rice" is fine. But, really,
there's a cheap brand from California available at Latin stores here
that works: "River Rice."

The best is bomba, from Spain. Hard to find and expensive. Lacking that, any
rice for risotto such as arborio or carnaroli shuold work fine.

Whole Foods carries rice for paella, I can't remember the name but
"bomba" sounds about right. (At least the one on Columbus Circle
carries it).

You can get bomba and other Spanish short-grain rices at tienda.com or
The Spanish Table's website. But I suspect any short grain rice would
work fine.
