Well I made the prime rib for tonights dinner and it was FANTASTIC!!! I used
a recipe from Allrecipes.com. It turned out wonderful..so much flavour and so tender. My husband ate almost half of the 4 pound roast himself. Here is the recipe if anyone is interested. http://beef.allrecipes.com/az/GrlicPrimRib.asp MJ |

If you had a four pound roast, did you use the recipe's 8 minutes a pound, or did you roast your four pound roast 80 mintues, i.e., 20 minutes a pound ? thanx |

I cooked it at 460 degrees for 20 minutes then turned it down to 325 i
refered to my meat thermometer for doneness..and it worked out to be about 20 minutes per pound for med rare.. I kept the same portion of oil mixture as the recipe called for and covered the entire roast with it not just the top. Trust me it was so good..actually i am having the leftovers right now as we speak and it still tastes great.. Oh....One more thing...the drippings that were in the pan make a good juice for it..i added a little water to the bottom of the roaster and wisked it to scrape the bottom of the pan..and served it on the side.. Enjoy!!!. MJ "--" > wrote in message ... > > "MJ" > wrote in message > .. . > > Well I made the prime rib for tonights dinner and it was FANTASTIC!!! I > used > > a recipe from Allrecipes.com.
