Hi all from Lyon in France.
Can someone please give me the scones recipe? I use to love the big-ones you can find in Canada with cherry in it. |

Sorry sent too soon. Currant Scones 1/2 C. butter-room
temp. 1/4 C. sugar 1/2 tspn. salt 1 1/2 C. sour cream 1 1/2 C. cake flour 1 1/2 C. all purpoe flour 2 tbsp. baking powder 3/4 C. dried currants 1 tspn. lemon zest (optional) Dir. blend butter, sugar, salt & sour cream at low speed until creamy. Mix flours & baking powder in separate bowl. add currants & lemon zest. mix gently. form well in center of dry ingredients. pour butter mixture into well. mix until a soft dough is formed. place dough on floured surface & knead a few times. pat into 8 inch round circle. cut dough into 10 equal wedges with a floured knife. place wedges 1 1/2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. bake on top rack of oven 40-50 mins. at 325 degrees. I have made these and they are good! and I love scones. |
